Boxes of rose petals will have at least the number of petals specified. Coverage obviously depends on how much one wants the surface covered, whether completely or as an accent. Some sources say 6,000 petals should cover a 9x15 foot area, but that depends on whether blanketed or as an accent. Since some roses are larger than others, and petals on the same rose differ in size, coverage will vary.

Please be advised that petals are a by-product of the rose production process. Petals may come from broken roses, roses not sold, petals removed from roses before shipping, etc. Therefore, they may be blemished in some way. Also, they may not always be available. Growers' first choice is to sell roses.
